A little bit about how Delta Flour came to be what it is, began with a startling diagnosis of breast cancer. I had started going down the journey of learning about sourdough, created my own starter - and what I thought would become a pastime hobby turned out to be something that really helped me keep my sanity during chemotherapy. I started baking so much bread that we didn’t have room on our counters or in our bellies! What better to do with excess food? Give it to family and friends, of course! Before I knew it, friends of friends were asking if they could purchase some and that led to farmers markets and local festivals, and here we are now with a full fledge website. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to help feed my community with fresh, gut healthy options of their favorite goodies.
